Welcome to
Cytegeist
Our mission
Cytegeist widens access to computational biology. Rigorous omics work should not require a dedicated bioinformatics team, a university cluster, or years of scripting. Re-analysis of published datasets is important. The same should hold for the analyses labs run every day. We run the compute and hold the data. Your lab avoids servers, cluster time, storage at scale, and the nightmare of IT overhead. Bench scientists, trainees, and small labs reach core-facility conclusions with citable methods and figures ready for a grant or manuscript. Work that would take a trained bioinformatician weeks often finishes in a fraction of the time.
What we aim to eliminate
- The need for your own compute infrastructure
- The need for local storage at scale
- The need for deep coding knowledge to run standard pipelines
- Institutional security walls — policies that forbid local clusters, block outside compute, or keep identifiable human data away from the analyses that could validate it
How teams use Cytegeist
- Strengthen grant applications with reproducible preliminary data
- Guide bench experiments with expression patterns from public cohorts
- Validate in-house results against independent datasets
- Cross-species validation in both directions: apply human patient cohorts to mouse or cell-line models, and use mouse or other available models to strengthen claims grounded in human data
